TEMPORARY SEASONAL LIFEGUARD

The City of McGregor is accepting applications for the temporary seasonal position of Lifeguard. Must be at least 16 years of age to apply. Position requires Basic Lifeguard

Certification, CPR, and First Aid Certification. Minimum of one (1) year prior experience preferred. Water Safety Instructor certificate is preferred. Reimbursement for lifeguard training will be provided at the end of a successfully completed season. Salary DOQ and hires will not be eligible for benefits. Candidates must successfully complete background check, physical exam and drug screening test.

WASTEWATER MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description:

Performs duties related to the maintenance and construction of wastewater lines. Installs, repairs and maintains wastewater lines, pumps, and motors. Checks and maintains lift stations and operates jet machine. Completes and verifies daily work orders in an accurate and timely manner.

Performs duties related to the installation, repair and maintenance and construction of wastewater lines and lift stations. Additional duties include monitoring wastewater treatment plant operations. Accurately records data related to wastewater operations in compliance with state regulations. Operates light equipment such as backhoe, dump truck and jet machine.

Job Requirements:

REQUIRES knowledge of tools, equipment and materials used in the installation, repair, and maintenance of wastewater lines and lift stations. Ability to operate backhoe, dump truck and jet machine.

MUST have a High School Diploma or GED and Texas Class “C” Operator’s License with the ability to obtain a Class “B” CDL within 1 year of employment. REQUIRES Class C Wastewater License or ability to obtain license within 2 years of employment.
