Five Parks Equal Five Times the FUN!
Exercise, laugh and play at one of McGregor’s five public parks. The parks serve as places to picnic, enjoy outdoor recreation, and relax. With something for everyone there are walking trails, baseball fields, basketball courts, playgrounds, a double 9 hole disc golf course, pavilions, soccer fields, fishing, splash pad and a swimming pool.

Disc Golf Course
Enjoy McGregor's 9-hole disc golf course located at Amsler park. There are 9 baskets and two tee boxes for each basket.
The 6th Annual ‘Merica Open Disc Golf Tournament hosted by The City of McGregor Parks and Recreation Department and the Waco Disc Golf Association and Presented by Legit Disc Golf has been scheduled for July 1st and 2nd, 2023. dgscene.com/merica
Amsler Park Aquatic Center
Amsler Park features an aquatic center where patrons can swim, splash, and dive during the summer. Opens Friday, May 31st, 2024 for Summer Season.

Hour of Operation
- Monday – Closed
- Tuesday 12-8:30PM (9:30AM – 8:30PM if no Pool Party)
- Wednesday 12-8:30PM (9:30 – 11:30AM Senior Swim)
- Thursday 12-8:30PM
- Friday 12-6PM (Noon – 8:30PM if no Pool Party)
- Saturday 12-6PM (9:30AM – 8:30PM if no Pool Parties)
- Sunday – Closed
McGregor Senior Center has Wednesdays from 9:30AM to 11:30AM for Senior only Swim. Please contact the McGregor Senior Center to sign up.
Do your kids attend Lil’ Pup Academy, Kidz Stop or Academy for Creative Learning? Each school has a swim day at APAC. Find out more about it at your school.

Splash pad at Amsler Park
The Splash pad, located outside of the Amsler Aquatic Center, is a fun way to cool off this summer. Open to the public.

Ball Fields
The Ball Fields at Launch Pad Park. This three field complex has Lechler Field, Ardell Field and Hackney Field. The lights, fencing and concession stand have all be upgraded in the last few years.
Launch Pad Park is home to the McGregor Youth Baseball and Softball Association (MYBSA).
Lake Fun
Lake Waco and Lake Belton offer fishing, boating, and swimming. Both have camping and recreational facilities.
McGregor Motors R.V. Camp Ground
Features include complete R.V. hook-ups, abundant trees, and large patios.
