Five Parks Equal Five Times the FUN!

Exercise, laugh and play at one of McGregor’s five public parks. The parks serve as places to picnic, enjoy outdoor recreation, and relax. With something for everyone there are walking trails, baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, pickleball courts, playgrounds, a double 9 hole disc golf course, pavilions, soccer fields, fishing, splash pad and a swimming pool.

McGregor Parks & Recreation is dedicated to creating opportunities for fun, fitness, and connection throughout the community. Beyond our beautiful parks, residents can enjoy recreational programs, community events, and activities designed to bring people together and encourage an active, healthy lifestyle.

Disc Golf Course

Enjoy McGregor’s 9-hole disc golf course located at Amsler Park. There are 9 baskets and two tee boxes for each basket. The majority of the course is beautifully shaded under a canopy of older trees.

Tennis and Pickleball Courts

The Bewley Park Tennis and Pickleball Court renovations were completed in February of 2026. These courts are complete with lights and a shaded spectator area. Lights turn off and courts close at 10pm.

Ball Fields

Home to the McGregor Youth Baseball and Softball Association (MYBSA), this three field complex at Launch Pad Park includes Lechler Field, Ardell Field and Hackney Field.

The lights, fencing, and concession stand have all been upgraded in the last few years.

Wood Field & H.G Isbell Gymnasium

The newest addition to the McGregor Parks and Recreation Department will be Wood Field and the H.G. Isbell Gymnasium in Fall 2026.

Amsler Park Aquatic Center

Amsler Park features an aquatic center where patrons can swim, splash, and dive during the summer. The Amsler Park Aquatic Center opens the Friday after Memorial Day and closes the second Saturday in August every year.

Pool Party Calendar Opens the First Monday in May to begin scheduling parties for the Summer Season.

McGregor City Pool is Home to the CENTEX BARRACUDAS SWIM CLUB.  Contact Swim Club Coach Emily for swim lessons at the APAC.

Splash Pad

The Splash pad, located outside of the Amsler Park Aquatic Center, is a fun way to cool off this summer. Open to the public, free and can not be rented. Splash Pad opens the weekend of MISD Spring Break and closes the First weekend in October.
